Stronger Than Ever, Yet Still Tough
With its upgraded formula, Bambu Lab PETG Basic now delivers PLA-level strength while maintaining the impact resistance PETG is known for. It handles higher loads and stress, making it ideal for structural household parts and practical tools like holders, wall hooks, brackets, and clips.
A Cost-Effective Choice for Outdoor Prints
Designed for long-lasting outdoor performance, PETG Basic combines durability with affordability. Its excellent resistance to water, UV, and heat makes it a smart, budget-friendly choice for garden labels, bathroom accessories, and other everyday outdoor applications.
Less Stringing, Superior Surface
The refined formula reduces stringing thanks to lower moisture sensitivity compared to standard PETG, producing smoother surfaces and sharper details.
Drying before use is still recommended for optimal printing results. See Printing Tips for details.
RFID for Intelligent Printing
All printing parameters are embedded in the RFID tag, readable through the AMS (Automatic Material System). Just load the filament and print—no complicated settings needed.
Printing Tips
- Dry before use to ensure high-quality prints. If exposed to humidity above 50% for over 72 hours, follow these drying instructions:
– Blast Drying Oven: 65°C for 8 hours
– X1, P, & H2 Series Heatbed: 80°C for 12 hours
– AMS 2 Pro & AMS HT: 65°C for 8 hours - Printing & storage humidity: Keep below 20% RH (sealed with desiccant).
- Post-print handling: PETG Basic sticks strongly to PEI plates—wait for the plate to cool before removing models to avoid surface damage.

Instructions for Printed Spool

1) When you’re finished printing, you will have a wide piece (1x), narrow piece (1x), spacing shim (2x).
2)Find the locator (a tiny block on the wide piece). Align it with the notch on the inner ring of the filament roll. Insert the wide piece into the filament roll.

3)Step 1. Insert the narrow piece and align the groove of each piece inside of the spool until it is pushed firmly into the wide piece.
Step 2. Once it is pushed firmly into the wide piece, rotate the narrow piece clockwise until it slides into place and you hear it lock.
4)Step 1. Make sure the spacing shim is installed inside the spool (under the triangle).
Step 2. Tear apart and pull out the plastic strips.
